Using a Paint Extension Pole

Ensure that your paint roller evenly distributed with paint for maximum delivery. If you are using an extension rod, less paint helps the pole become less top-heavy. By packing the paint roller lightly, you will achieve cleaner results with fewer runs or drips. Using the paint tools effectively will make the entire process a lot easier. To avert an uneven coat, do not dry roll with your painting gear.

Start painting at the bottom and advance upwards along the wall. This will likely simplify using the extension and decrease the need to modify the extension length. The flexibility of painting while using pole at a range of extensions makes any job easier.

Holding the pole effectively will make the overall process simpler. When you use a completely extended extension, hold it at the middle to maintain accuracy. Grasp it close to the final section where the middle segment connects to the downward part of the pole. This method creates less strain on the upper extensions and offers optimum delivery. To obtain the best control options, use both your hands while raising and lowering the extension.

Be cognizant each time you are loading the paint roller that you don’t press too powerfully. Just guide the roller with care without pressing too hard and allow the tool to do the work

During the paint loading procedure with an extension pole, hold the final portion close to the roller and the midsection as near to the base section that you can reach. This system allows you to manifest extension support throughout the paint loading process.

Hold the pole upright with max extension until you transfer it to your painting area. Hold towards the center bottom part of the pole as close as you can to the top of each section for a balanced application. Cautiously lean the pole close to the surface to begin painting once you are standing close to the wall.

Once the roller makes contact with the wall, you'll be able to step back and modify your grip for comfortable painting. Grip the pole at the center pole and the bottom while painting for better handling. Using an extension correctly relies on correct placement of the pole to prevent it from being too bottom or top-heavy.

If you want to loosen or tighten the collet locking mechanism or the chuck, merely hold the pole under the collet and unlock or lock the extension portion you want to adjust. Adjust the chuck till the sliding pole stops moving. Examine the pole after you tighten the chuck to be sure it holds. Over-tightening the chuck can cause pole damage. Be mindful when you are adjusting.

Ensure the poles are free from paint or product that can accumulate in the slide. If any paint does get onto the pole, wash it off before it dries and hardens. Use a damp rag for latex paint clean up or a thinner rag within reach for oil-based products. Ensure the chuck and pole and collet are dry from thinner and water ahead of modifying. For convenient storage, collapse the extension to its most compact size. For ideal results with the extension pole, use standard-sized paint handle rollers. A long-handled paint roller isn't really recommended to be used with the extension pole.

Purchasing an extension pole is a worthy investment. It'll benefit you for a variety of jobs and can be reused for several years. It's the best way to accurately paint vaulted ceilings and walls. Making sure it happens to be clean every time you desire to use it will ensure it lasts. Avoid having to carry and climb a ladder by choosing the telescoping extension instead. This painting invention has completely changed the industry.

Some individuals use their painting extension poles to dust high window ledges, window frames, ceiling fans and much more. Store your extension rod someplace close so that you have easy access for all of your painting and cleaning projects.
