For upwards of 50 years, Alfred Richard designed a huge selection of quality tools. He agreed to sell his company after 50 years to the Panfili and Gregoire families. These households were excited to carry on a business model which had been family-run. The A. Richard Company relocated to Berthierville in 1942.



By 1997, a 3rd age bracket of the Gregoire and Panfili family members took the business over from their elderly brethren. A. Richard obtained over 85% of the wall finishing hand tool market place in Canada. By 2003, they joined Hyde Tools, Inc.

A. RICHARD Expands

In 2006, A. Richard purchased Roultech, a paint brush and roller producer and distributor. Each of the businesses created a capable team that combined marketing and development by A. Richard with Roultech’s expertise to successfully handle the applicator market.
By 2006, A. Richard took over a roller and paintbrush manufacturer and provider called Roultech. Combining expertise and experience in marketing and development generated a profitable business power team able to guarantee the paint applicator market. The company presently generates over 1200 items and is sold in fourteen countries.
